This item is for a new general replacement electroluminescent aqua display backlight for the Realistic PRO-2005, PRO-2006, PRO-2021 and other similar model scanners. Will also work in other electronic equipment which uses the same type of display with a voltage supply of 60-250VAC at a frequency of 50-5KHz. Comes with wire leads. This display IS NOT an exact duplicate of the original. It is slightly narrower in width. Approximate dimensions: 85mm long X 20mm wide. It goes into place very easily with the models that have the black pieces of foam behind the display. Please see photos of this display actually installed in a PRO-2006 model. THIS IS A REPLACEMENT PART, NOT A SCANNER. NO SCANNER IS INCLUDED. GENERAL ELECTRONICS KNOWLEDGE ALONG WITH THE PROPER TOOLS TO DO SOLDERING ARE REQUIRED. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE ABILITY AND TOOLS TO INSTALL THIS ITEM, DO NOT ORDER IT! THIS IS NOT A GUARANTEED FIX FOR NO BACKLIGHT CONDITIONS! IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE EL POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT, A NEW BACKLIGHT WILL NOT WORK WITH OUT FIXING THE POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT! IT IS POSSIBLE TO HAVE A GOOD BACKLIGHT THAT DOES NOT WORK IF THE POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT IS BAD! YOU SHOULD TEST THIS BACKLIGHT BEFORE YOU INSTALL IT WITH A POWER SOURCE NOT FROM WITHIN THE SCANNER. WE ALSO RECOMMEND TESTING THE ORIGINAL EL BACKLIGHT THE SAME WAY SO THAT YOU KNOW FOR SURE THE ACTUAL CONDITION IT IS IN USING AN EXTERNAL POWER SOURCE.
