Original color lithograph, Around the World in Eighty Days, by David McCall Johnston (American, b. 1940) — the white-elephant jungle procession scene. Pencil-signed by the artist, lower right. One of the 25-color lithographs issued under Le Musée Jules Verne for the 150th anniversary of Jules Verne\'s birth.
Includes the original Certificate of Authenticity taped verso (Franklin Gallery / Le Musée Jules Verne), confirming the piece was personally inspected and hand-signed by Johnston. Original frame with linen-look mat, wire hanger intact, and the factory acrylic-care label still affixed to the back.
Condition: The lithograph itself presents beautifully — bright color, crisp detail, no visible damage to the print. Glazing is acrylic (not glass), and it shows surface wear/light scuffing — it is not flawless, and is priced accordingly. A couple of minor blemishes to the outer frame edges. Sold as-is from an estate.
Note: Because the glazing is acrylic rather than glass, this framed piece ships far more safely than glass-fronted art — no shatter risk in transit.
