DAGUERREOTYPE - ⅙ plate 1840s Daguerreotype of a very beautiful and proper young woman in a fine dress with large sleeves. She wears fingerless lace gloves and a triple layer pearl necklace atop a large and frilly lace collar. She is framed in a near perfect deckle-edged mat & preserver and housed in a full leather uncommon leather case, matching 1840s designs, a perfect velvet pillow that looks & feels like it was made yesterday, and working double clasps. This is a wonderful image despite two wipes to the left of her head about an inch-and-a-quarter long and touching her hair.
