6th plate size daguerreotype of a young man with neat hair, stand up collar and extra-large bow tie. Original paper seals still present so no wipe marks. As the pics show there is some haziness showing, possibly on the glass. The first 3 close up pics of him I used the camera flash to show his facial details, neat guy. Housed in a full leather case with the name handwritten inside the case with V M Leacock with the date of 1854 original spine and double brass latches are still present. The red velvet pillow shows some minor fading but still soft to the touch.
