Mytee Products introduces Crosby safety accessories that are mounted on Crosby lifting hooks. It efficiently secures the load within the hook throat, restricting accidental disengagement during operation. This is not a load-bearing tool but supports in retaining the load safely and securely during lifting and rigging. This Crosby hook latch kit is designed to fit the specified hook size and capacity (check the list below).
- Retention Tool: This Crosby rigging hardware has a spring-loaded latch system that connects to the hook. It will keep the lifting loads like load sling, shackle, or chain from slipping or disengaging unintentionally during operation. In simple terms, it will help you keep hold of loads and have a visual safety check.
- Top-Quality Material: The latch kit is constructed from robust stainless steel, which was quenched and tempered to enhance its strength. The kit has undergone a hot-dip galvanization process to withstand harsh weather conditions and environments in industries like offshore, construction, etc. The process will ensure longevity and reliability despite continuous use.
- Fitment Details: As specified, this Crosby latch kit will work only with these hook models: 319N, 320N, 322N, 339N, 1327, and 1339. The older versions, like Crosby 319, 320, and 322 hooks, are not compatible. Also, the hook capacity will seamlessly entertain 11 tons for alloy material hooks and 7-1/2 tons for carbon material hooks. For proper fit, check the hook model and capacity—match with the correct S-4320 latch kit size. We have included more Crosby hook latch kits with specified load capacity compatibity.
- Regulatory Compliance: The hook latch kit meets OSHA 1926.1431(g) and 1926.1501(g) compliance for personnel lifting.
- Installation Guidelines: This latch kit is designed to provide hassle-free installation, giving a clear locking and unlocking indication for operator understanding. The kit includes one quantity of bolt, cotter pin, latch (3.56" length and 1.25" width), nut, and spring. There are other pointers that you should consider before installation:-
- Keep the hook at a 45-degree angle with the cam up.
- Seamlessly align the spring coils with the cam on the hook.
- Now, simply slide the latch body onto the spring legs, compress and align the holes.
- Insert the bolt and fasten via a self-locking nut.
- Lastly, install the cotter pin.
