Specially prepared and bound for Mrs. E. M. Tucke. Translated by George B. Ives. Twenty-one etchings. The etchings are by H. Manesse and drawings are by Adolphe Weisz. In this edition the plates are in four printings: one on Japanese vellum, remarque; one on Japanese etching-paper; one on papier de Chine, mounted on plate paper; and one on Whatman drawing paper, finished with water-colors. For each copy of this Special Edition there is prepared a duplicate set of impressions of the plates on satin.
Finely bound by Barrie in full brown crushed morocco with watered silk flyleaves, the spine with gilt titles and floral panel ornament, four raised bands, the covers with gilt floral border, watered silk flyleaves and elaborate gilt frames and central grey morocco affixed. Fine in morocco lined cloth slipcase, very worn.
