This is a string-bound portfolio of photographs ofCamp Pike National Army Encampment in Little Rock Arkansas from 1917. The photographshave a beautiful sepia tone and lots of detail.
There are18 pages plus the pictorial cover, with 30 photographs.Each print is mounted onto thick textured cream paper. The page measures12.5 x 10inches (32 x24.5 cm). The full-page photos measure approximately8 x6.25 inches (20.5 x 16 cm). The covers are detached and frayed. The pages have rounded corners but are otherwise in good shape.
Produced by the Albertype Company as a set of mechanical photogravure prints. It is undated, but the cover photo is Maj. Gen. Samuel D. Sturgis Jr. who served there in 1917.
