We’ve been selling karaoke since 1988. That’s a long time! When I wanted to put my business phone number in the Yellow Pages the “karaoke” category did not even exist. I had to list the business under “Musical Accompaniment”. I’ve seen a lot of changes in these three decades. The formats that we have used to listen to our music has gone from cassette tapes and Laser Discs to Compact Discs w/Graphics, MP3+G and digital downloads. The good news for those that still have a karaoke cd+g player is that we still have thousands of discs still available, many of them are rare and hard-to-find, such as this one.
This is indeed a unique offering of the songs by the the Mavericks, a truly unique group. If you\'re not familiar with their music then you\'re in for a nice surprise - they are a little bit Country, Pop, Latino, and Tejano all mixed together, many of their songs being covers of songs that already had been on the charts. Their version of \'Down On The Corner\' by CCR is an excellent version but has quite a different sound from the original. The song \'Hey Good Lookin\'\' is another excellent cover version. Many of their songs are original compositions such as \'All You Ever Do Is Bring Me Down\'. \'I Should Have Been True\', and \'Think Of Me When You\'re Lonely\'. This is an excellent disc with an awesome selection from this one of a kind band.
