It requires 1 AA battery for the clock to operate and an additional 2 AA batteries for the chiming mechanism. Batteries are not included.The box shows significant signs of storage and age, including but not limited to scratches, dents, cracks, tears and stains on all sides. Colors may be faded or slightly different from their original state. The unit is in a great condition.
