How to Use Potting & Repotting
Use directly from the bag when potting or repotting your Begonia. Gently settle the mix around the roots without heavily compacting it.
Begonias generally do not need a large increase in pot size when repotting. Move up only one pot size at a time and use a container with drainage holes.
Watering
Check the mix before watering rather than following a fixed schedule. Water when the surface has begun to dry, then water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain.
Keep the growing medium moist but not soggy, and avoid allowing the container to remain in standing water.
During cooler weather or periods of slower growth, the mix may take longer to dry and watering may be needed less frequently.
For Rex and rhizomatous Begonias, avoid allowing water to remain on the leaves or crown.
Fertilizing
During active growth, use an appropriate balanced houseplant fertilizer according to the fertilizer manufacturer\'s directions.
Avoid excessive fertilizing and reduce feeding during periods of slower growth.
