The lederhosen are advertised in actual inches, measured around the inside of the waist band. You might want to compare with the measurement of your jeans or pants at home to see with how many inches those come up. The leather of the lederhosen also stretches a little bit after a few times of wearing. In the back of the waist band are those straps (like shoe laces) to fine tune the fit. You can loosen and tighten them around an inch.If you are unsure or in between sizes then our recommendation is to go one size up.
