The BURNDY YA36A3 is a HYLUG™ dual-rated aluminum compression lug for permanently terminating 600 kcmil stranded aluminum or copper conductors to a two-hole equipment pad or bus connection. It is tin plated, prefilled with PENETROX™ A13 oxide inhibitor, and rated AL9CU, 90°C, up to 35 kV.
The lug is designed for a permanent crimped connection. Its aluminum barrel and tin plating allow use with either copper or aluminum conductor when installed with the correct BURNDY die and tooling. The factory-installed oxide inhibitor helps limit oxide formation at the aluminum-conductor interface, while the chamfered barrel entrance helps prevent strand damage during conductor insertion.
