Vintage Red Aguilar Azorin Obras Completas IV & Ramon y Cajal Books
Two mid-20th century Spanish volumes from Editorial Aguilar’s Colección Joya series in matching red leatherette bindings.
1. Azorín (José Martínez Ruiz) – Obras Completas Tomo IV. M. Aguilar Editor, Madrid, 1948. Introduction, notes, bibliography and arrangement by Ángel Cruz Rueda. Includes 1907 author portrait. Bible paper, decorated page edges, gilt-stamped binding with author medallion.
2. Santiago Ramón y Cajal – Obras Literarias Completas. Aguilar, same series and binding style. Gilt-stamped leatherette with author medallion, decorated page edges. 1950.
- Classic Aguilar Joya bindings: rich red/burgundy leatherette with gold tooling on spines and covers, geometric spine designs, and patterned red-and-cream page edges.
- These have strong visual presence for display while remaining desirable to collectors of Spanish literature and Aguilar editions.

NOTE: Pre-Owned Vintage Condition. There is a small tear in the binding of the Santiago Ramón y Cajal – Obras Literarias Completas volume (Pics #17 & #18). Decorated edges and gilt still visible. Sold as a pair.
