About Our Breeding Flock
We are a small family farm dedicated to raising healthy, high-quality poultry. Our adult Ayam Cemani breeder birds are solid black and carefully selected for health, fertility, and overall quality. They are well cared for, provided plenty of space, and fed a high-quality diet to support strong fertility and healthy chicks.
As with all Ayam Cemani bloodlines, chicks may occasionally hatch with minor color variation or small areas of lighter feathering ("leakage"). Although our breeding birds are solid black, some leakage is still possible due to genetics. In our experience, chicks with minor leakage have often darkened significantly as they matured. We continually select our breeders each generation to improve color consistency.
Important Information
Shipped hatching eggs are a fragile product, and hatchability cannot be guaranteed. Hatch rates are affected by many factors outside of my control, including shipping time, carrier handling, storage after delivery, incubation equipment, temperature, humidity, egg turning, and overall incubation practices.
A shipped egg that does not develop does not necessarily mean it was infertile. Shipping stress alone can prevent normal embryo development. I hatch eggs from this breeding pen regularly to verify fertility before offering eggs for sale.
I strongly recommend choosing USPS Priority Mail for shipments traveling more than one state away from South Carolina. While USPS Ground Advantage may save money, longer transit times can significantly reduce hatchability, especially during periods of extreme heat or cold. Fresh eggs produce the best hatch rates when they arrive quickly. I also recommend allowing shipped eggs to rest 12–24 hours before incubation so the air cells can settle after transit.
Each order is individually foam-packed with great care and clearly marked for safe handling. If your package arrives with broken eggs, please send photos immediately so I can assist you with filing a shipping insurance claim.
If you prefer that your package not be marked as containing eggs, or if you would like your shipment held at your local Post Office for pickup, please let me know before your order ships, and I'll be happy to accommodate your request whenever possible.
Please remember that response should reflect the quality of the product and service provided. I package every order with great care, ship fresh fertile eggs, and verify fertility by hatching from my breeding pens regularly. Because shipping conditions, carrier handling, weather, and incubation practices are beyond my control, I respectfully ask that response not be based on factors outside my ability to influence. When determining what assistance I may be able to offer, I also take the shipping service selected into consideration. Based on my experience, shipments to the Western States frequently require several additional days in transit, which can significantly reduce hatchability. For those destinations, USPS Priority Mail is highly recommended.
Due to the nature of shipped hatching eggs, I cannot guarantee hatch rates or offer refunds for poor hatches resulting from shipping delays, carrier handling, incubation methods, equipment, weather, or other factors beyond my control.
Shipping is available within the contiguous 48 United States only. I am unable to ship to Hawaii or Alaska.
