Edge Fit: The U-channel trim is designed for compatible edges from 1/16 to 2/25 inch thick, approximately 1.6–2.0mm. Internal metal clips help the rubber edge trim grip the installation surface, while the compressible side bulb helps fill gaps around doors and compartments.
Sealing Function: When properly installed, the rubber bulb seal can help reduce wind noise, vibration and rattling while limiting the entry of rain, dust and outside air. The flexible construction follows straight or curved edges and can be cut to the required length.
Push-On Installation: Measure the edge thickness and installation length, clean the surface, press the U-channel trim firmly along the edge, and cut off the excess material. Make sure there is enough clearance for the side bulb to compress when the door or compartment is closed.
