This is a genuine authentic vintage antique Chinese handmade wool rug. The background is black, and it depicts the ten immortals.
On the left, it says “ninth day of the 11th month.” The fourth year of the Qianlong reign. Corresponds to 1739 AD. On the middle center, it says “respectfully offered”. Top center is “Xingyuan Temple”
This was made sometime between 1920 and 1950.
Size is 73.5” x 29.75” without fringe. The fringe adds 3.75” to this beautiful, hand-knotted floor rug.
