blue and white porcelain plate. Measuring approximately 8.5 inches in
diameter, this versatile size perfectly serves as a salad, lunch, or
dessert plate. It features a wonderfully deep, rich cobalt blue hand-painted
river landscape accented by traditional pagodas, a bridge, trees, and the
classic "rain and cloud" lattice border along the scalloped rim.
**Authenticity & Period Characteristics:**
This piece features excellent historical markers showing its early origins:
- **Unglazad Orange-Brown Foot Rim:** Classic indicator of iron oxidation from period kiln firings.
- **Unmarked Bottom:** True to authentic pre-1890 export wares before tariff acts required origin stamps.
- **Glaze & Texture:** Faint celadon/gray-blue tint to the white glaze with minor, period-correct pinholes and pitting under the glaze.
