This monthly publication was one of America\'s premier journals covering Asian affairs, culture, and travel in the early 20th century, and this issue is packed with compelling content: \"Korea Signs Away Her Freedom\" leads as the frontispiece, followed by pieces on the Last Imperial Manchu, Bible Stories through Chinese Eyes, elephant trapping in Trengganu, silk weaving, contemporary Japanese poetry, and farming life in Japan.Adding a lovely personal touch, the inside front page carries a handwritten gift inscription — presented as a Christmas 1920 gift — giving this copy a warm provenance that ties it directly to its era.
