Description:
19th century hand carved wooden tribal art shaman vessel with stopper. Possibly poison darts or other related items. Carved turtle on front, centipede on back. Roping near top and bottom. Handle adorned with a face. Stopper has an anatomically correct man in sitting position. Great aged patina on the entire piece. Handle is intact yet moves a little, due to the handle base is under the roping. Handle may have been repaired at one time, judging by a crack line that encircles it. Not sure though.
