Set of 3 Antique Original French Etchings by Antoine Brient – Nantes & Paris Landmarks.
A beautifully curated, matching set of three (3) original vintage architectural etchings (eau-forte) by renowned early 20th-century French printmaker Antoine Brient (1905–1936). Produced circa 1930, this collection showcases Brient's masterful, fine-line cross-hatching and command of atmospheric perspective, rendering historic cityscapes of both Paris and his native region of Nantes, France.
Each piece is individually hand-signed by the artist in pencil and comes from highly limited, matching edition runs of only 95 prints worldwide.

Notre-Dame de Paris & The Bouquinistes: An iconic Parisian riverbank scene featuring the historic open-air bookstalls along the Seine, with the distinct rear flying buttresses, central spire, and twin towers of the Notre-Dame Cathedral rising in the background. Hand-numbered 63/95.
Basilica of St. Nicolas (Nantes): A dramatic cityscape showing the soaring neo-Gothic tower of the Basilique Saint-Nicolas rising above the historic rooftops and historic waterways of Nantes. Hand-numbered 66/95.
Rue de l'Hôtel de Ville (Nantes): A classic, intimate Vieux Nantes street scene depicting a narrow cobblestone road bordered by historic multi-story apartments and walking figures. Hand-numbered 78/95.
Dimensions: Each frame measures 9 5/8” x 12 3/4”All three prints are uniformly gallery-presented with matching vintage black wood borders. Frames are very old and backing and matting should be replaced.
Condition: These prints are in good antique condition, especially considering they are nearly a century old. The artwork impressions remain crisp and dark. Consistent with age, the margins show light, clean mat-burn borders and faint, minor foxing spots (brown age speckles) primarily confined to the border and matting. The frames are also very old, showing vintage surface wear and a few of the corner joints are loose. Interior matting, cardboard backing and wire need replaced. Please review all photos closely as they serve as the final confirmation of condition.
These were acquired from a flea market in Paris by their previous owner who lived abroad.
