This is truly exceptional and rare miniature chest of drawers, late classical empire period , possibly PA in origin , certainly a salesman sample or perhaps apprentice model , the surface is original with scattered marks , wear, the only loss is the top two drawers are both missing a small piece of banding where those drawers meet , what's also interesting is , the look to be banding tiger maple , and both drawers had quaker locks! you can see where they where removed partially on the drawer bottoms, you could easily restore that , each column and well formed and carved hairy paw feet have there original gilt paint on them , turned feet in the back , exceptional use of mahogany veneer , graduated dovetailed drawers , pine secondary woods , all made just like the full size version this is 17 inches tall 8 1/2 inches deep and 14 1/4 inches wide , this is a must have for any true classical empire collector !FURNITURE & LARGE ITEMS WITH LOCAL PICKUP POLICY
