Antique Geneva Cutlery Co. straight razor, manufactured in Geneva, New York, and dating to the early 20th century.The tang is clearly stamped “GENEVA CUTLERY CO / GENEVA N.Y.” The handle features unusually elaborate raised floral and scroll decoration in a warm cream/yellow tone, giving this razor a particularly striking appearance compared with the more commonly encountered plain-scale Geneva examples.Especially interesting is “1914” hand-inscribed into the handle, providing a wonderful period detail. The razor remains in unrestored antique condition. The blade shows oxidation, darkening, surface pitting and other age-related wear. The decorative scales show scratches, discoloration and wear consistent with age and use.
