Impressive antique Zanesville art pottery handled vase featuring a tall cylindrical form with a beautiful variegated powder-blue glaze and darker blue accents. The body is decorated with individually applied circular medallions featuring stylized geometric and floral designs, with raised concentric bands around the neck and pedestal base. A large sculptural handle completes the unusual form. The glaze displays extensive age-related crazing throughout. The underside is unglazed with old handwritten numbers. A striking early American art pottery piece with substantial decorative presence despite the condition issues described below. Measures approximately 10 1/2\" tall.
