A rare and original Wells Fargo & Company Express reward poster/broadside offering a $1,000 reward for the robbery of an express car!
The robbery took place in 1912 on a Sunset Railroad Company express car between the towns of Monarch, CA and Pentland, CA. Two men escaped by automobile with $20,000 in gold pieces! That is worth $680,000 in today\'s money...What an unbelievable heist!!!
