Beautiful antique WMF swing/pivot tea strainer with integrated drip bowl, dating to the early 20th century.Made by Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik (WMF), Germany, one of the best-known European manufacturers of decorative metalware. The support arm bears the distinctive WMF ostrich/beehive maker’s mark, associated with early 20th-century production.This clever tea accessory features a perforated bowl suspended on a pivoting frame above a solid drip-catching base. The strainer can swing/tilt within the frame, allowing tea to drain into the lower bowl after steeping.
