Antique Virol Ironstone Jar, 5.5"
Here is a fabulous antique Ironstone jar that at one time contained a product called Virol. It was described as a preparation of Bone Marrow, an ideal fat food for children and invalids.
It contained refined beef fat, malt extract, egg, and honey. Interesting how bone Marrow is again trending in modern diets.
The jar measures about 5.5 inches tall, and is about 3.25 inches across at the widest point. The base diameter is 2.25 inches.
It is in good antique condition. There is some staining in the surface glaze. It does not have any chips or cracks.
A wonderful addition to your Ironstone collection. Would make a great gift too!
