Antique Austrian Vienna Style Cold-Painted Bronze Blackamoor / Moorish Servant Boy

Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic late 19th to early 20th-century (circa 1890–1920) Vienna-style cold-painted bronze figurine. The statue depicts a Moorish servant boy dressed in traditional ornate attire, holding out a shell-molded bowl intended as a calling-card receiver, vide-poche, or trinket dish. It is mounted securely to a heavy, genuine black veined marble pedestal base.

Design & Casting Quality:
This piece features exceptionally crisp casting details, most notably the raised scrollwork and floral embroidery on the front and back of the vest, and the texture of the turban. It is a hollow-cast bronze figurine, consistent with period Viennese foundry techniques (such as Bergman/Bergmann style). The bottom retains its original heavily patinated iron threaded mounting screw.
