Antique Tibetan Tingsha Bronze Ritual Cymbals Conch Shell Motif 3\" Chain For Sale

Each cymbal measures approximately 3 inches across and features a raised central boss with repeating conch shell motifs around the outer surface. The conch is one of the traditional auspicious symbols associated with Tibetan Buddhist iconography.

These have a particularly pleasing clear, sustained ringing tone when struck together. The surfaces retain an aged dark patina with wear, oxidation and other evidence of age and use. The chain and its attachments also show considerable age and wear. Please examine the photographs carefully for condition and construction.

The pair came from a longtime collector of Asian objects and was acquired together with other Asian bronze/brass bells and related pieces.
