This charming and hard-to-find 19th-century Victorian Staffordshire porcelain spill vase. The piece depicts a humorous domestic scene of a seated woman in a classic blue polka-dot dress attempting to put on her pink shoe while a playful brown-and-white spotted cat interacts at her feet. It features an open spill holder attached to the back of a pink Victorian sofa. The underside is hollow and unmarked, which is standard for genuine early Staffordshire flatbacks and spill vases of this era.
Condition Notes (PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING):
Damage: There is a notable break/crack located where the cats neck and head connect to the woman's lower leg and shoe area (please see close-up photos 6 and 8 for exact details).
