Presenting a lovely oil portrait on canvas of a well dressed and quite handsome young gentleman wearing bold rings and an intricate lapel pin. Painting is of the French school and done circa 1820s-1830s English Regency era. I love the dark green walls and the colored pattern on his vest, those designs/colors are usually seen reversed!!! Overall it is in very good condition for age and the painting has been restored: cleaned and a fewscattered spots of in painting. There is some light toning, scattered craquelure, a few marks on edges from an old frame, a few small paint losses, etc. Please see all photos for condition and measurements. This exemplary artwork ready is to display in any living area!
