Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic pair of French companion sculptures by the highly regarded French sculptor and medalist **Pierre-Charles Lenoir**. This matching pendant pair depicts a young rustic peasant man and woman harvesting crops, carrying highly detailed bundles on their backs. The figures feature a rich, classic silvery-patinated finish showing excellent sculptural depth, crisp detailing in the drapery of their clothing, and expressive character poses. Both figurines are securely mounted to matching, round, highly polished red marble bases displaying gorgeous natural veining.
They are late 19th century.
They measure: 6 3/4"H x 3"W The base is 3 1/2"
Weight: combined 6 lbs.
Condition: The base is a little loose on one. And they both have scuffs and scratches on the base. There is some silver loss, and oxidation.
