Antique and undated 1920s to 1950s oil painting on canvas, signed in the lower right hand corner T. Norris. Internet research found another view of the same scene by the same artist, and it was identified as a fishing village in Inverness Shire, Scotland.
Painting could benefit from a cleaning and restoration to whatever degree you wish. Personally, I find this attractive and would hang it just as it is in my home, but we all have different standards. As you can see in the many photos, the painting and the frame show their age with plenty of marks and scuffs here and there. The artwork is held in place to the frame with only tape, and that is loose... so you could mount it better (and very easily, too). Some crazing to the oil paint, but it\'s nothing distracting. Exact measurements are shown in the photos.
