Signed “Ch. Jansson” and dated 1915 in the lower right corner. The artist’s identity has not been confirmed.
Presented in an ornate gilt-finished frame with raised floral and foliate decoration. The painting displays age-related craquelure and surface wear. The frame has scattered wear, discoloration, and small losses consistent with age. Old handwritten numerical markings on the bottom wooden stretcher. 800/ F or a 5?
