Antique Mahogany till drawer circa 1890-1920. very good condition. working order:

This is a late Victorian early Edwardian Till drawer. Made from solid Mahogany its stood the test of time and still functions as it should with opening ratcheted drawer with the famous Bell PING . The bell function was there mostly to deter thieves from opening the drawer and stealing the cash . These Till drawers which were portable so the merchant would lock and take away each night to the bank etc. Also a hand written till receipt was access thru the window in the top. A true piece of OK retail history and now just a great pice of home furniture that can be used for storage of small items or money. Very lightly cleaned are varnished it retains all of it character and patina. It has a very small area tucked at the back of cracking but it\'s just age and in keeping with the rest. (it\'s not new ! ).
