These two hand-colored lithographs come from Joseph Nash's famous 4-volume portfolio masterpiece published between 1839 and 1849, titled The Mansions of England in the Olden Time. Specific Print Titles Top Print: "The Hall, Levens, Westmoreland" (now Cumbria). This scene depicts the famous Elizabeth-era ornate plasterwork ceiling and wood-paneled hall at Levens Hall, showing figures seated around a dining table with a dog nearby. Bottom Print: "The Great Hall, Speke Hall, Lancashire". This print depicts the massive timbered hall inside the Tudor manor of Speke Hall, illustrating a group gathered around a central table with domestic figures and pets scattered across the room. The frames show minor edge scuffs. Prints are in great condition.
