  It is highly likely a Solid Sterling Silver Lining: Joseph Heinrichs was famous for his high-end, luxury restaurant and hotel ware. Unlike standard consumer brands (like Manning Bowman) that used tin or silver plate, Heinrichs’ signature technique was taking heavy-gauge copper shells and structurally lining them with a solid layer of sterling silver.

  This unique high end hotel ware appears to be original and complete minus the cotton wick which is commonly missing and will need to be replaced.

  This piece displays very well with an attractive aged copper patina. It shows normal antique wear from age and use including scratches, tarnish, oxidation, and finish wear. The wood finial on the lid does have a small crack as seen in the pictures. I have not polished it, leaving the original patina for the next owner.
