There are NO chips, cracks, hairlines, or previous repairs to the porcelain found. The white background remains bright, and the blue floral patterns are remarkably crisp. There is only minor, age-appropriate shelf wear on the unglazed base ring and very slight thinning to the gold gilding on the high points of the handle and spout.The Original Lid: The lid has a large, clean structural fracture along the inner vertical flange (the hidden sleeve that keeps the lid secure inside the rim). The broken fragment was found safely preserved inside the pot and is included with this listing. Because it is a clean, sharp break with no pulverized dust, this is a prime candidate for an easy, flush mend using a clear two-part conservation epoxy. Once mended, the break will be completely hidden inside the pot for flawless cabinet display.
