Antique handmade fixed-blade knife featuring a large approximately 12.5\" steel blade and natural deer antler handle.Primitive hand-built construction with a simple metal guard and a long slightly curved blade terminating in an upswept point.
Approximately 15–16\" overall length. The blade and guard show substantial oxidation, patina, staining and wear consistent with considerable age.This knife came identified as being circa Civil War era. I have not found a visible maker\'s mark and have no documentation establishing its exact age or Civil War provenance, so it is being sold as an antique handmade knife rather than as an authenticated Civil War artifact.
