The dial is especially attractive, with a textured gold-colored field surrounding an elaborate dark floral/scroll center incorporating the ELGIN signature.

The watch was reviewed from photographs by a specialist at a major horological sale house, whose opinion was that the attractive dial and case appear correct and appropriate to the watch. The specialist also identified it as a smaller ladies\' pendant-size Elgin.

Condition:
The watch winds and is currently running/ticking. Service history is unknown, and I have not tested it for long-term accuracy or power reserve. It is therefore being sold as an antique mechanical watch with no guarantee of timekeeping accuracy.

The dial and case show age-related wear as visible in the photographs. The subsidiary-seconds hand appears bent/distorted and is shown clearly in the close-up photographs. The case has not been polished or restored by me.

The Keystone/J. Boss case is marked “Guaranteed 25 Years,” indicating gold-filled construction; it is not being represented as solid gold.
