A beautiful antique Czech graduated bead necklace, probably dating from the 1930s.
The necklace is composed of alternating round jade-green glass beads and ornate openwork brass filigree beads with floral and scrolling decoration. The glass beads are individually linked on metal pins and finished with small brass-toned floral bead caps, creating a particularly elegant and well-balanced Art Deco design.
The necklace is graduated in scale, with the larger beads concentrated toward the front. The combination of vivid green glass and warm aged brass is especially characteristic of Czechoslovak costume jewelry of the interwar period.
It retains its original spring-ring clasp and appears to remain in very good original vintage condition, with light age-related patina and wear to the metal consistent with age. Please examine all photographs carefully as they form part of the condition description.
