Experiments and Observations on Electricity, Made at Philadelphia in America by Mr. Benjamin Franklin from pages 103 to 111 and also a review of Supplemental Experiments and Observations on Electricity, Part II. made at Philadelphia, in America by Benjamin Franklin from pages 111 to 113 in the August issue. With also an added highlight to the edition being a review of Cyrano de Bergerac\'s very early science fiction work Voyage to the Moon on pages 314 to 315 in the October issue. Antique, approaching three centuries old, hardcover, leatherbound book in overall very good condition for its age. Front coverboard is present but nearly completely detached but still connected via the upper original binding string with back coverboard still well and tightly connected to the rest of the book but with the leather hinge cracked. Exterior of the book has age, use and shelf wear like rubbing or chipping to the outer corners and edges of the boards and spine as well as some crackling to the leather. Exterior has been treated with renaissance wax by the previous owner who was a prolific collector so that it is stable and easy to casually handled and has a bit of a sheen to it and is also very slightly tacky to the touch. Interior pages are sturdy and still overall bright though with many throughout having some foxing or very old damp stains to the blank margins or other overall minor age, use, shelf or storage wear. Book\'s binding is tight and well intact and the book is complete with all pages present and none coming loose, detached or missing. Book has no odors.
Book totals 512 pages followed by the unpaginated index. Book measures approximately 8 1/2 x 5 1/4 x 1 1/2 inches and weighs about 1 1/2 pounds.
