Beautiful antique Australian 15ct gold brooch by renowned Melbourne jeweller William Drummond & Co., dating approximately to the late Victorian / Edwardian period, circa 1890–1910.The piece features an elegant scrolling botanical design with delicate leaf motifs, seed pearls and four round faceted deep pink/red gemstones. The red stones have not been professionally tested and are therefore described simply as untested gemstones rather than attributed as garnet or ruby.The reverse is clearly hallmarked W 15 D, a documented mark associated with William Drummond & Co., Melbourne, for 15ct gold. The original brooch pin is broken/missing, so it cannot currently be worn as a brooch without repair.
