Up for sale is a beautiful, highly detailed antique European floral spray brooch. Executed in a realistic, naturalistic cast metal design, this piece masterfully showcases the fluid lines of the Art Nouveau and early Arts & Crafts movements.
Gemstone Details:
Leaves: Inset with natural, untreated nephrite jade cabochons. The stones feature beautiful natural variation, subtle shifts in green shades, and tiny organic dark flecks/magnetite inclusions characteristic of genuine European/Siberian jade.
Berries: Set with round cabochons of genuine, natural salmon-red coral.
Metalwork & Condition Note:
The frame is crafted from solid 800 continental silver, featuring a deep, gorgeous, naturally aged patina that highlights the relief work of the leaves.
Please note: The original antique C-clasp was previously removed and updated with a secure modern safety clasp mechanism soldered to the flat back. Because of this historic hardware repair, the original 800 silver hallmarks are no longer present. However, the construction, stone choice, and remaining hinge style firmly date this piece to the 1910s–1930s era.
