Original 1929–1930 Merchants Trust Company of Greensburg, Pennsylvania Check Collection
Offered together is a coherent group of nine original cancelled checks drawn on the Merchants Trust Company of Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
The checks date primarily from late 1929, with the group continuing into January 1930, placing them at the beginning of the Great Depression. They feature attractive period bank typography, handwritten entries and signatures, cancellation perforations, and various contemporary banking/clearing endorsements.
The checks appear to originate from the same account, with closely grouped check numbers and a recurring signature. They have been intentionally kept together as a historical group rather than separated for individual sale.
