The decorative section is constructed from fine twisted metal wirework forming a long, tapering foliate vine, set throughout with clear faceted stones. The stones catch the light beautifully against the deeply aged, darkened metal, giving the piece a delicate sparkle without feeling overly ornate.
Designed to be worn around the head or across the forehead, the leafy ornament sweeps asymmetrically across the front and side before tapering into slender double-strand ends. It is especially beautiful worn low across the forehead in the style of early 20th-century bridal and evening headpieces.
The original silk tie had deteriorated with age and was replaced with a sturdy satin ribbon, allowing the headpiece to remain wearable and adjustable. The surviving pieces of the original antique silk ribbon are included separately with the headpiece.
AGE / PROVENANCE
Purchased from an antique dealer as an original 1910s–1920s headpiece. It is unmarked, and the exact maker and date are unknown.

CONDITION
Excellent antique condition. All stones are present and catch the light beautifully. The intricate wirework remains intact. The metal shows natural darkened patina, oxidation and age-related wear consistent with an antique piece.
The original silk tie had deteriorated and has been replaced with the current satin ribbon for wearability. The surviving original silk pieces are included separately. Please examine all photographs and video closely for construction, patina, condition and scale.
