La bussola ha ancora il vetro e l\'ago originaleOrologio solare dittico tascabile da viaggio (meridiana portatile a libro) risalente alla fine del XVIII secolo (circa 1780-1800). Lo strumento, di chiara manifattura tedesca attribuibile alla celebre scuola di Norimberga è realizzato in legno di bosso rivestito da incisioni su carta stampate su lastra di rame e finemente acquerellate a manoAl centro della tavoletta inferiore è incastonata una piccola bussola originale, protetta da vetro. Il filo gnomone verticale è presente e teso tra le due sezioni. I quadranti sono ricchi di dettagli con scale orarie in numeri romani e arabi e decorazioni floreali tipiche dell\'epoca. Nel retro o all\'interno del coperchio (se presente) si trova solitamente l\'elenco delle latitudini delle principali città europee.
Condizioni: Ottimo stato di conservazione vintage considerando l\'età. Splendida patina naturale del legno e della carta, grafiche ben leggibili e ago della bussola coevo e funzionante. A diptych pocket travel sundial (portable folding sundial) dating from the late 18th century (circa 1780–1800). The instrument, clearly of German manufacture and attributable to the famous Nuremberg school, is made of boxwood covered with engravings on paper printed on copper plates and finely hand-watercolored
A small original compass, protected by glass, is set in the center of the lower panel. The vertical gnomon thread is present and stretched between the two sections. The dials are richly detailed with hour scales in Roman and Arabic numerals and floral decorations typical of the period. On the back or inside the lid (if present) is usually a list of the latitudes of major European cities.Condition: excellent vintage condition considering its age. Beautiful natural patina on the wood and paper, clearly legible markings, and a period compass needle that is in working order.
