Altered Wheelbase (AWB) AMT \'62 Pontiac Catalina Funny Car Project- Complete Kit For Sale

Here\'s an AMT \'62 Pontiac Catalina that I heavily modified into an AWB Funny Car project.It\'s a complete kit. The rear wheel openings were moved forward about 14 scale inches, and the fronts were moved as far forward as possible, about 6 scale inches and the inner fender panels in front were removed. The chassis, frame and driveshaft were shortened about 14 scale inches and lengthened the same amount at the back of the chassis. The stock gas tank was removed. All the stock front end parts were removed to accommodate the new position of the front wheels that will be on a solid axle that is included. An opening in the hood was made for your choice of induction that you provide. The back of the interior tub has been modified for the new wheelbase. All the bodywork was done using plastic saw dust and Weld-On 3, a plastic solvent that actually welds the plastic with no shrinking, but it does allow some flexing without cracking the seams or joints.There\'s a small amount of filling and sanding to do. The parts to be painted will still need to be washed as with any new kit.Everything pictured except the engine, wheels and tires on the mockup is included. It comes with sanded tread slicks and mags for the front.
