The more comprehensive standard dictionary of the Akkadian language in English is the Chicago Assyrian Dictionary (CAD). In 1999, the one-volume Concise Dictionary of Akkadian was published , which was compiled on the basis of the handbook with references to the Chicago Assyrian Dictionary and other sources.
