**Avengers #286**, titled "The Fix Is On!", was published by Marvel Comics in December 1987. The issue was plotted by Roger Stern, scripted by Ralph Macchio, with artwork by John Buscema (pencils) and Tom Palmer (inks). The story follows the Avengers—Dr. Druid, Namor the Sub-Mariner, Black Knight, She-Hulk, and Captain Marvel—as they confront the villainous Fixer. After escaping from prison, the Fixer takes control of the Awesome Android, leading to a battle between the Avengers and the android. Although the Avengers manage to defeat the Awesome Android, the Fixer ultimately escapes.
