ANTIQUE/VINTAGE WAX SEAL STAMP - CIRCA 1840:

Here is a wax seal stamp which I believe belonged to DAVID JUSTIN MATHEY-JUNOD who was born in 1810 and lived in NEW YORK. It was common to seal business letters with a stamp with your initials so I am dating this to around 1840 when he could have been a business man.
The seal is in good condition. It comes with a handle that I do not believe it original to the piece. I am including the handle with the sale but I am just selling the seal.
I did some research on the former owner and will include my notes with the seal.
I believe this is bronze but it could be brass.
